Xixihe Bridge G4216 is one of many beam crossings on the amazing G4216 Yibin to Panzhihua Expressway in Sichuan Province. The route has Sichuan's largest collection of high level bridges. The Xixihe Bridge is unique for being a very long viaduct that has separate large cantilevered beam spans of 160 meters over the Xixihe and 135 meters across the Niluoyidahe. The local road crosses the Xixihe on a suspension bridge with a span of approximately 140 meters.

The route is also unique for having more large span arch bridges than any other highway on earth with a total of seven. These massive concrete and CFST arches include Xi'ninghe, Dahegou, Shangwujiao, Xisujiaohe, Yuewulada, Liutonghe and Daheba Bridges.

The G4216 Expressway parallels much of the Jinshajiang reservoir that was formed by the giant Xiluodu Dam. With a height of 285.5 meters, Xiluodu is among the 5 tallest concrete dams in the world and is located on the border of Sichuan and Yunnan Provinces 50 kilometers downstream from the Jinshajiang Bridge Kahaluo.
