The Wagangchuan Bridge is on the very east end of the G309 Expressway that connects Qingyang and Heshui in Gansu Province. The main span of 160 meters is supported by piers 126 meters tall.
Several kilometers to the west is the giant high level Malianhe extradosed bridge with a span configuration of 125+5x230+125 meters on piers as tall as 178 meters.
