The Wagangchuan Bridge is on the very east end of the G309 Expressway that connects Qingyang and Heshui in Gansu Province where just before the junction with the G22. The two main spans of 160 meters are supported by piers 126 meters tall. The entire structure measures 1,304 meters in length.
Several kilometers to the west is the giant high level Malianhe extradosed bridge with a span configuration of 125+5x230+125 meters on piers as tall as 178 meters.
