The Three Gorges Bridge is a large steel box stiffened 6-lane suspension bridge with a main span of 1,200 meters on the Yichang West Ring Expressway. The spectacular span crosses a deep canyon of the Yangtze River Gorge where a lake has formed below the Gezhouba Dam near Yichang City. The towers are 190 and 182 meters high and the width is 40.5 meters. The bridge was originally to be named the Nanjinguan Yangtze River Bridge.
An older render of the previously named Nanjinguan Yangtze River Bridge that had an A-shaped tower design where the main cables meet at the tower top.
