The Moping Bridge is the highest beam crossing along the 67 kilometer Baye Expressway that connects the G42 and G50 Expressways from Badong to Yesanguan in Hubei Province. The medium sized cantilevered beam spans have a configuration of 80+ 2 x 140 + 80 meters on piers as tall as 152 meters. About 30 kilometers to the north is the colossal Second Badong Yangtze River Bridge with cable stayed towers as tall as 374 meters, the third tallest in the world after the Nanpanjiang Puzhehei and Sutong Second Yangtze River Bridges.
Other high crossings along the route include the 410 meter span Barenhe arch bridge located 15 kilometers to the north.
