There are few terrain coasters from the 1920s that were as large as the Skyclone at Central Park in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Opened in 1927, the triangular shaped layout started with a jaw-dropping double dip of 105 feet, the first coaster in the world to have a drop more than 100 feet. Climbing out of the ravine, the train ascended 85 feet up to the crest of the second hill whose structure stood 90 feet tall. Several more average drops in the 50 foot height range took riders back to the station with the last drop being another double dip. The entire 2,850 feet of track only required a chain lift hill of 60 feet.
