The highest footbridge yet built in Italy, the Ponte nel Cielo opened in 2018 as a tourist span within the beautiful mountain town of Morbegno in the Lombardy region. Every year there is a Cielo Run that encircles the forested river valley.

Nel Cielo is one of several high "Tibetano"-style footbridges in Italy.
