While many national parks in the world profess to be “grand”, the Enshi Grand Canyon lives up to the title with a spectacular collection of karst formation cliffs and spires that command attention hundreds of meters above the Qingjiang River gorge.
But the real highlight is the cantilevered cliffwalk that winds in and around the nooks and crannies of the huge east facing limestone wall. To reach the cliffwalk, visitors must board a gondola that rises hundreds of meters from the main visitors center to the cooler mountain-top plateau where all the trails are located.
