(394) foot span / (120) meter span

One of the tallest and most complex bridge systems in Sichuan Province, the Lugao Bridge Number 2 is a cantilevered beam span on the G4216 Expressway just a kilometer from the Jinsha River gorge. The north end of the 1,181 meter long structure has tall spiral exit piers that sprawl across the river canyon. On the south end of the structure are two large cantilevered spans that are supported by piers as tall as 108 meters.

Just to the north on the same route is the giant Guanyinyan Bridge that leads into a 360 degree mountain tunnel to gain elevation out of the Jinsha River gorge as it rises west towards Zhaojue city.
