Puhe Railway Bridge is a rare arch-beam hybrid span that was first developed for the Beipanjiang Bridge Shuipan in the mountains west of Liupanshui, Guizhou and the Ganxi Bridge also in Guizhou.

The tallest pier of 112 meters supports two central spans of 220 meters. Located at Km 21, the 833 meter long structure has a main bridge of 691.9 meters with the height of the No. 3 main pier being 108 meters. The foundation of the bridge adopts the drilling and injection pile foundation while the bridge platform adopts a rectangular hollow bridge platform. The No. 1 and No. 5 piers adopt rectangular solid piers while the 6~7 piers use round-end solid piers and the 2~4 piers use octagonal rectangular hollow piers.

The height of the total beam of the fulcrum beam in the middle pier is 32 meters of which the height of the upper string beam in the empty section is 5~6.5 meters while the height of the lower string beam in the empty section is 6 meters with the net distance between the upper and lower strings being 18.2 meters.

The height of the span middle beam and the fulcrum beam are both 6 meters with the bottom curve of the beam being 2.2 parabolic. The upper string of the empty section adopts a single-box single-chamber cross-section, with a beam top width of 12.0 meters, a beam bottom width of 8.6 meters.

The lower string of the fasting section adopts a rectangular hollow cross-section with the width of the top plate and the bottom plate being 8.6 meters. The outer beam of the empty section adopts a single box single-chamber cross-section with a beam top width of 12.0 meters, a beam bottom width of 8.6 meters and a span middle beam height of 6 meters.
