Nizhuhe Grand Canyon 2024 / 2025 BASE Jump Events

7 BASE jumpers from China and Australia gathered at the Nizhuhe Glass Platform, Cloud Glass Bridge and Cable Car Gondola in the fall of 2024 for several BASE jump events to celebrate the spectacular Nizhu Scenic Canyon Scenic Area.

Later in November a large event with 20 BASE jumpers took place culminating in an 18-way jump from the platform.

In early 2025 a smaller BASE event took place during the Chinese New Year with 3 jumpers from Australia.

The events were organized by Gary Cunningham, President of the Australian BASE Association, Eric Sakowski, creator of HighestBridges.com and Zhu Fan of Tianjin.

Each athlete took dozens of jumps due to the 268 meter tall cliff elevator and a ropeway that could whisk everyone back up to the top of the Beipan River gorge in just 20 minutes.
