Despite a length of only 83 kilometers, the Zunyu expressway is another one of Guizhou's impressive mountain routes filled with high bridges including the spectacular Wujiang Zunyu suspension bridge and the Xingjiang cable stayed bridge that are both in the 300 meter height range.
The Wujiang Bridge is a large truss stiffened suspension crossing with a main span of 680 meters approximately 297 meters above the surface of the now hidden Wujiang River that is under a reservoir formed by the giant Goupitan Dam downstream.
The Wujiang Zunyu Bridge is located at kilometer 48 and has a total deck length of 1,240 meters with a span configuration of 9x40 +680+5x40 meters.
The route connecting Zunyi with Yuqing has several other high beam bridges including Luoquandong, Shanwangding, Yingpanshang and Shaba Bridges.
