Fadalto Bridge
Viadotto Fadalto
Fadalto, Veneto, Italy
(312) feet high / (95) meters high
377 foot span / 115 meter span
1995
The Fadalto Viaduct is the most spectacular bridge along the 82.5 kilometer long A27 Vittorio Veneto motorway in Veneto, Italy that was built in sections between 1972 and 1995.
Composed of two separate viaducts 3.7 kilometers long, Fadalto is the longest high-level bridge in Italy. The Northbound and Southbound structures have similar 55 meter beam spans for the first 2.2 kilometers. At the north end, the two viaducts diverge from each other for the last 1.1 kilometers with the Southbound structure traversing a deeper section of the Tesa River valley that required the construction of ten spans, each with a length of 115 meters. The Northbound structure reaches a height of 70 meters.
