Joseph Kubick Paintings
The following is the artwork of Joseph Kubick, an Austrian painter who lived most of his life as an American in College Point, New York before his passing in 1970 at the age of 70. Much of his art work was sold at art exhibitions and along the sidewalks of Manhattan.
His art mostly covered scenes in and around New York City, Flushing, College Point and New York State. Born in Vienna in 1900, Mr. Kubick came to this country shortly after World War I. He was a baker for most of his life, and since 1950 was an amateur artist, winning a number of prizes. One of them was a second prize in a Golden Age Art Exhibition sponsored by the New York City Department of Parks.
