	Buliuhe is one of China’s many remote two lane continuous rigid-frame bridges that are being constructed to replace older crossings that have become submerged from the formation of deep reservoirs from new downstream dams. The Buliu River span is impressive not only for its height but for its colossal main span which measures 771 feet (235 meters). The single cell box girder is 42 feet (12.8 meters) deep over the piers and 14 feet (4.2 meters) at center span. The two piers measure 312 feet (95 meters) from foundation to the underside of the beam.
