The Three Natural Bridges make up the most spectacular section of the South China Karst UNESCO World Heritage Site north of Wulong. A popular tourist attraction for millions of visitors from Chongqing City, the three limestone arches have openings between 96 and 116 meters in height. A cliffside elevator originally brought visitors to the floor of the Yangshui River gorge is now abandoned. Guests now follow along a river boardwalk path where a tram brings you back up to the top.
Although it is not the highest or longest platform ever built, the steel and glass Three Bridges viewing platform is probably the largest ever built with enough room to accommodate more than 100 tourists at a time.
The Tianshengsanqiao Viewing Platform vertical drop from the platform tip is 175 meters. The deck elevation is approximately 205 meters above the creek at the bottom. The Three Natural Bridges are featured prominently in the 2014 film Transformers: Age of Extinction directed by Michael Bay.
