One of 3 very high railway bridges on the 344.4 kilometer Yuqian high speed railway between Guiyang and Chongqing, the Wujiang beam bridge is wedged between two tunnels over the most famous river in Guizhou Province. There are more high bridges over the Wujiang then any other river on earth. The Guiyang-Chongqing railway line has 77% of its route on bridges or in tunnels. The other high bridge on the route is the giant Yelanghe arch bridge to the north. At the northern end of the route there is a large crossing of the Yangtze River over a 432 meter span cable stayed bridge.
Wujiang Railway Bridge Yuqian has piers as tall as 111.5 and 109.5 meters.
The city of Wujiangzhen has a nice collection of Wu River bridges that include an older multi-arch 2-lane bridge, a unique cable stayed suspension bridge hybrid from 1997, the giant Wujiang G75 expressway viaduct from 2008 and a conventional railway bridge. The 433 meter long high speed crossing is achieved with a central span configuration of 92+168+92 meters.
