Leaping between two vertical cliffs, the Haima arch bridge is one of many high spans that cross the great Wu River. Completed in 2016, the 2-lane concrete span connects Jinsha and Xiuwan Counties with a deck to water drop of between 120 to 150 meters depending on the depth of the reservoir. The footbridge had a total length of approximately 250 meters and a water drop between 112 and 167 meters depending on the reservoir depth.
The temporary construction footbridge next the arch was an impressive span of approximately 250 meters.
The giant Wu River is one of the 5 largest tributaries of the entire Yangtze River and has a collection of high bridges greater then any river in the world.
