Constructed to cross the deep reservoir formed by the massive 305 meter tall Jinping I dam, the Woluohe arch bridge is a concrete box span of 170 meters. The 2-lane crossing has a width of 7 meters and was constructed using high lines anchored into the steep mountain slopes. Four parallel ribs were constructed with each rib comprised of 7 sections that were held in place by stays anchored into the mountain wall. The deck level is at 1900 meters above sea level while the full reservoir level of the lake is 1880 meters.
