Completed in 2017, the Taiping Footbridge is one of Taiwan's few major tourist bridge attractions. Crossing a beautiful tree-filled canyon, the giant 281 meter main suspension span is unique for having a double transitional ramp and stair ascent on the south end. The north end of the bridge is also unusual with a back span that was shortened by having the main cables bend downward over a pair of large steel pipe supports.

Located in the Meishan area of Taiwan, the tourist spot includes many hiking trails, overlooks and temples.
