One of China's least known areas, Ningxia is a small Autonomous region in Northern China just a few hundred kilometers south of Mongolia. With a population of only about 7 million people it is no surprise that there is only one high bridge in the region.

Completed in 2009, the Suyukou Forest Park Footbridge is located high in the mountains west of Yinchuan City and offers a relief from the hot desert air below. The entire Suyukou Forest Park offers hiking trails and scenic overlooks that can be reached by a gondola ropeway on the north end near Xiangshui as well as access from 5th Road Tang town closer to the bridge.

Satellite measurements put the tower to tower main span at 220 meters while the entire length of the bridge is reported to be 248 meters. Like many tourist footbridges in China, the height is unknown but might be over 100 meters.
