Shuilian Footbridge
水簾吊橋
Nantou, Taiwan, China
(164) feet high / (50) meters high
(328) foot span / (100) meter span
19??
The Shuilian Footbridge might not be the nicest or largest footbridge in Taiwan but the location cannot be beat. Located in a remote region of Nantou near Yushan National Park, this suspension bridge overlooks a lush canyon with vertical cliffs.
Despite the short length of the Shuilian Footbridge there are several steel truss frames to prevent bending and other distortions of the deck and cables.
Also in the same river canyon is the nearby Pinglai Liuliguang Glass Footbridge.
