Shatanhe Bridge is the highest and most spectacular of about 10 high bridge spans within the Wuchuan city region in Northern Guizhou. The simple concrete arch is about 110 meters above the reservoir that has formed from a downstream dam along the Fengle River. The Shatan River is a tributary of the Fengle River which threads through the city center.
The nearby Zhenzhu, Jiutian, Hongduhe, Longtanhe and Yangganghe Bridges all share a similar design and size.
