Shangshiguan Bridge
上石关大桥
Banmaopo, Sichuan, China
351 feet high / 107 meters high
295 foot span / 90 meter span
2015

Shangshiguan Bridge is one of the world's highest T-beam bridges with only one pier. This rare type of beam bridge is perfect for crossings where a long main span is not necessary and smaller approach spans can be more easily and inexpensively built for the rest of the bridge. The giant Chishuihe beam bridge is located just a kilometer to the west and carries the G76 expressway south from Sichuan to Guizhou Province.
