The Sarugakyo Bungy Footbridge first opened in 2013 as Japan's second bridge bungy operation after the nearby Suwakaio Minakami Bungy Bridge. Located over the spectacular Tone River gorge, the bright red triangular truss footbridge suspends visitors high above the clear blue waters of Akaya Lake.

The Minakami Bungy jump allows guests to drop into one of the most beautiful natural gorges in Gunma with stones millions of years old shaped into giant sculptures of natural art by the erosion of the Tone River.

The nearby Sarugakyo Onsen is one of the most famous hot springs in the Minakami region. Since the Minakami and Sarugakyo bridges are close to each other there are discounted combo packages for those who’d like to jump from both bridges.

The entire Minakami region is a recreational paradise with canoeing, rafting, skiing, hot springs, fruit fields and one of the last operating steam trains in the world.

Bungy Japan also offers bungy jumping from other high bridges in Japan including Ryujin, Itsukimura, Minakami, Sudokeikoku Fuji, Kaiun and Yamba Bridges.
