Pingtung Shanchuan Footbridge
屏東山川琉璃吊橋
Pingtung, Taiwan, China
(148) feet high / (45) meters high
860 foot span / 262 meter span
2015
The longest footbridge in Taiwan, the Pingtung Shanchuan Footbridge opened in 2015 within the Taiwan Indigenous Culture Park of Pingtung County. Located at the mouth of a spectacular river gorge, the footbridge only has a half meter wide grate for about 100 meters of the center of the bridge. There seems to be no actual glass on the bridge even though some maps list it as a "glass" footbridge.
Although not very high at around 45 meters, the Pingtung Shanchuan Footbridge has a main span of 262 meters surpassing Taiwan's Duona Footbridge by 30 meters.
