Liming Bridge is one of China's longest and highest extradosed bridges with four main spans that cross a wide river valley just inland from the Yangtze River. The 117 kilometer 4-lane expressway connects Lijiang with Weixi County and is composed of bridges and tunnels for 82% of the route.

Further south is the equally spectacular Shigu Bridge with two back to back cable stayed spans of 330 meters supported by towers as tall as 278 meters.
