With a deck height of 130 meters, the Jannello Bridge is only half the height of the more famous Italia Bridge to the south, but still commands attention as one of the great high spans of the spectacular A3 motorway of Calabria, Italy.

Originally completed in 1974 with unusual hammerhead piers and concrete beam spans, the bridge was rebuilt between 2014 and 2017 with steel beams placed on top of the older piers which allowed the deck to be widened with a safety lane as well as a partial realignment into a new tunnel on the south end. The older concrete beams were safely imploded after the newer steel deck was in place on top.
