Guchuan Bridge was completed in 2013 to replace the Wutai #1 Bridge that was destroyed by flooding on the Ailiaobei River from Typhoon tMorakot in August 2009. Guchuan Bridge reportedly has Taiwan's tallest pier at 99 meters which includes the foundation piles. The bridge has a total length of 654 meters.
