Running for 44 seasons, the Cyclone at Revere Beach was one of the most successful of the Prior & Church designed wood twisters. Completed in 1925, the Cyclone was 85 feet tall with a first drop of 70 feet. Like several other coasters designed by Church in the early 1920s, the layout included a tall fan curve followed by a second drop that came up alongside the first drop. The layout of of the Revere Beach Cyclone was very similar to the Savin Rock Thunderbolt in nearby Connecticut.

The Cyclone last operated in 1969 after being damaged by a fire. In 1974 another fire finally led to its demolition. One of the trains was saved and rehabilitated by a local tool company.
