Airplane

Airplane is considered to be one of Prior & Church's greatest wood coasters with the signature bottleneck shaped first drop that led into a wild succession of heavily banked helixes and numerous cross overs that have made it one of the most legendary twisters of all time.

The first drop of 80 feet is the largest ever built on a Prior & Church coaster. The second drop of about 70 feet was a wonderful spiral plunge that required banking of more than 60 degrees. Riders boarded the train just above ground level requiring a small below grade drop into a concrete trough enclosed as a tunnel.

The nearby Dragon coaster still survives with a more family oriented series of straight drops with no banking.
