The Yangliu River gorge is the second deepest natural barrier riders encounter when traveling along the Guiyang to Zhinin Railway line that opened in 2016 in central Guizhou Province. The large viaduct has piers as tall as 105 meters supporting a main span configuration of 72+128+72 meters. The Yangliu River is a smaller, north flowing tributary of the Liuchonghe River.
The highest railway bridge in the world is on the same route closer to Guiyang City. Named the Najiehe Bridge, the all steel arch has a span of 352 meters and crosses 310 meters above the Wujiang River.
