One of several large beam bridges on the Zunchi highway between Zunyi and the Chishuihe River, the Guanzhai Bridge crosses a beautiful valley of tiered farm paddies. The location is probably midway between Renhuai and Erlangxiang.
The prestressed T-beam frame bridge has a main span of 150 meters flanked by two side spans of 80 meters supported on piers 94 and 102 meters tall.
The 4-lane Zunchi highway has several other large beam bridges including Tongzihe and Eralanghe which have piers that rank among the tallest in the world.
