Located on a remote stretch of national road S102, the Fenshuihe Bridge is part of a short bypass that avoided a steeper and more dangerous descent down into the Fenshui River canyon. The newer route spans the river on a concrete arch that was built in segments that were lowered into place from a highline. Each parallel rib is made up of 7 arch segments.
